Probashi Bhondu (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a product of Dream IT and takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.
By using this app, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy. This policy is prepared in accordance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
1. Information We Collect
(a) Information you provide directly
- Account information: email address, name, and profile picture (via Google Sign-In or email registration).
- Profile information: current country of residence, nationality, date of birth, gender, religion, occupation, and monthly salary (all optional).
- Documents: passport, residence permit, and other documents you choose to upload — used only for your own reminders and reference.
- Financial entries: income, expense, remittance, savings, and lending/borrowing records.
- User content: notes, to-do lists, AI chat history.
(b) Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, OS version, language settings (used anonymously for analytics).
- App usage: aggregate screen views and feature usage (not tied to individual identity).
- FCM token: Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver push notifications.
- Crash reports: stack traces submitted to Firebase Crashlytics when the app crashes.
(c) Location
We use your device's GPS location to compute country/city-specific prayer times, the Qibla direction, and local weather. Location data is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers.
(d) Information we do not collect

- ❌ SMS, call logs, or phone-call audio
- ❌ Your photo gallery (only files you explicitly choose to upload)
- ❌ Browsing history or activity outside our app
- ❌ Data from any other application
2. Why We Collect This Information
- Service delivery: show country-relevant prayer times, currency rates, embassy information, and emergency numbers.
- Personalization: let the AI assistant give context-aware answers based on your profile.
- Reminders: warn you before your passport or residence permit expires.
- Security: prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Improvement: understand which features work well and where bugs occur.
3. AI Features Disclosure
Our AI assistant and translator features use DeepSeek API, OpenAI GPT, and Google Gemini. When you send a question, the text is forwarded to one or more of these providers to generate a response. Each provider has its own data retention policy:

- OpenAI: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
- Google: policies.google.com/privacy
We do not share your direct personal identifiers (name, email, phone number) with these AI providers. Only the prompt text — and, optionally, your country and occupation — is sent so that responses can be more relevant.
4. Data Sharing
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
We share data only in these limited cases:
- Service providers: Firebase (Google), Cloudinary, and the AI providers above — strictly to operate the app.
- Legal requirements: when compelled by a valid court order or government request.
- Emergencies: to protect the life or safety of a user or another person.
5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3.
- Cloud data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 via Firebase.
- Sensitive documents (passports, permits) are stored in private Cloudinary folders.
- Firebase Authentication manages user credentials — we never see your password.
- Local app data (offline cache) is stored on your device only, in encrypted SharedPreferences.
6. Data Retention
- While your account is active: your profile and financial data are retained.
- If you delete your account: all cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Legal obligations: some access logs may be retained for up to 6 months for fraud prevention.
7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
- Right of access: request a downloadable copy of all data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: correct any inaccurate information.
- Right to erasure: delete your account and all associated data.
- Right to data portability: export your data in machine-readable JSON.
- Right to object: opt out of specific processing activities.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@probashi.mydreamit.dev or use Settings → Account → Delete inside the app.
8. Children's Privacy
Probashi Bhondu is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child's data is in our system, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
9. Cookies & Tracking
The mobile app does not use cookies. Our website only uses essential cookies (for login sessions). We do not use third-party tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or behavioral profiling.
10. International Data Transfers
Firebase servers are located in the United States and Europe, so your data may be transferred to these regions. All transfers are protected by GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will notify you in-app and by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the current version became effective.
